Re: StaNB reviews (multi-linguages)
France's Fairyland plays progressive, symphonic metal that blends operatic choruses, blinding guitar leads, and synth solos that hearken back to the days of Yes and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. SCORE TO A NEW BEGINNING is the third part of a trilogy about a fantasy world called Osyhria. The intricate orchestrations and sweeping chorale parts keep pace with the ambitious scale of the album's concept, and are sure to tickle the fancy of progressive and symphonic metal fans everywhere. Kerrang (Magazine) (p.53)

Re: StaNB reviews (multi-linguages)
http://www.havenmetal.com/1fairyland2.html
Voilà, bonne soirée
Continue surtout, c'est génial, je me délecte de tes albums Osyrhiens!
Tibo

FAIRYLAND
‘Score To A New Beginning’
NAPALM
Hundreds of thousands have read this book by its cover and have likely made every effort to avoid this French band simply because of their name. Really, you’ve got to reside in a pretty chi-chi neighbourhood to not get tarred, feathered and smacked silly for sporting a Fairyland hoodie. But for those who’ve dared venture into Phillippe Giordana’s fantastical universe, the result has been a pleasant surprise. No, Fairyland will never approximate Napalm Death in terms of grit or socio-political commentary, but as far as symphonic, cinematic power metal goes, Giordana has created metal’s version of THX and IMAX. ‘Score To A New Beginning’s, ahem[$italics], script may be utterly ridiculous, but the album is effectively laid out like a soundtrack, even going as far to have songs titled ‘Opening Credits’ and ‘End Credits’. Outside of the sugary pomp, however, lush symphonic moments are buffered by a fair amount of ‘80s Euro speed metal, making this far more palatable than the high gloss of Rhapsody or Edguy. Fin.

Please allow me for once to indulge in a little quoting that should stay in everyone's mind.
This is taken from the movie "Ratatouille":
This is taken from the movie "Ratatouille":
In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.
