Fairyland at Metalfest 2009

hey hey, amazing set at metalfest, was a shame about the sound however, though whoever sang vocals had one killer voice. Btw, if you want a few more photos from the same place as the black and white one let me know, the photographers my best mate, so I'm sure I could get them sent to you.

By the way, I'd better resume the situation at metalfest.

Mraco's boss wouldn't let him have any day off, so he had to leave the venue as soon as he finished his set with Pathosray. Since he wasn't able to go to the Copenhagen show either, we had 3 days to prepare Fabio to assume lead singer role.

he did a great job at both shows, IMO.

As for the tech problems, the stage sound engineer (the one who takes care of monitors for the band) sent a very strong signal to Vince's ear monitors, basicaly rendering him deaf and covering the click we use to be synchronized with the background samples. It was obvious that we couldn't play the show like this, so I decided to cut in the middle of the first song (a first for me, very bad). I think the guy didn't appreciate us exposing him like that, so he kept screwing with our monitors for the rest of the show. Had he been a benevolent and professional sound tech, we could have puled out a great show.

By the way, it sucks that we had to put the bass on samples, but Fabio only had 3 days to prepare, and the choice was either play that way or just cancel the show. I'm still very happy that we chose the former solution

Well, concidering the sound engineer was clearly unprofessional, and the amount of time you had to prepare with Fabio, It worked out really well, and I agree he performed extremely well and hey you made a few fans in the progress.

To be honest the sound was really not up to normal JB's standards throughout the whole festival which was a real shame, so you all played extremely well concidering.
